WELCOME TO BÔLD
ABOUT THE BLOG
For years, I have served as a useful source for those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started writing about my passions, my thoughts, and curious wonderings about living life as a bald woman. I founded Bôld with a mission to give others resources so that their journey might just be a little easier. I found my first bald patch when I was 19 years old. I had no idea what alopecia was, let alone how it would shape and affect my life. Furthermore, there were not many resources in my area or at my fingertips to guide me through the changes.
The Bible says that God never gives us more than we can bear, but there were times on this journey that I doubted this. I have come to learn that sometimes we go through things not only for oneself but for others as well. When I shared with a co-worker that I was doing this blog for bald women I could feel an overwhelming excitement and she wasn’t even bald! So many people tell me that my story, my confidence, my vigor inspires them and I just want to do more.
So to my Baldies and my bôld supporters (“Boldies”), this will be great for all of us. Cheers to us for taking this journey!
Take some time to explore the blog, read something interesting, and feel free to reach out if you would like to collaborate on this project together.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
What is it that fuels you? For me, it’s Bôld. I love writing about my passions, experiences, and hope to inspire others. Ever since I became bald I have seen life in a new way and it encouraged me to live a more bold life. Whether it be in my fashion choices, beauty routines, travel experience, health/fitness and most of all my faith.
Alopecia, the autoimmune illness that caused my baldness. Contrary to the confidence I exude coming to terms with being bald was a process. It pushed me to the brinks of breaking, it rocked my world and most of all, it shook my faith. I no longer loved who I saw in the mirror. I no longer did the things I loved. Essentially I stopped living and just survived day to day. Its the worst feeling hating who you are, I won't go back there and hope to encourage you out of the hole.
Bôld is truly my own little passion project, gaining more and more traction each day. I hope you enjoy browsing my site and all of the unique content I have to offer. Take a look around; perhaps you’ll discover what fuels you as well. Subscribe to join me on this ride called life! The Bold way!
